NatWest is to enter into a partnership with PKO Bank Polski, Poland’s leading retail bank to strengthen its product offering to Polish customers.

Research amongst the Polish community shows that Polish customers living in the UK are sending home £528 million per year. In addition, research shows that the Polish community are looking to settle in the UK and 58% are considering living in the UK permanently.

This partnership is the first of its kind and follows the introduction of NatWest’s Welcome Account, launched early 2007. The Welcome Account is the only Polish account on the market to offer both telephone and internet banking services in the Polish language. In addition, there is a Polish call centre in Manchester.

The account also has a unique Money Transfer Account into which customers can transfer money from their Current Account. These funds can then be accessed by a relative or friend in Poland via a cash machine card.

A spokesperson said The NatWest Welcome Account offers our Polish customers a unique service. Our association with PKO Bank Polski shows our commitment and desire to provide them with best possible service.
