Mondial and Seatwave joint venture

Seatwave, the UK’s largest fan to fan ticket exchange and Mondial, the provider of travel insurance third party administration, have joined forces to provide a new service for people buying tickets for live events.

Seatwave has selected Mondial as its partner because of the company’s commitment to customer care and for Mondial, the agreement is proof of its capability to utilise its expertise in new market areas.

The joint venture is called Ticketcover and when ticket holders are unable to get to the venue or when an event is cancelled, Ticketcover will refund the cost of the tickets. It is a new kind of insurance and Seatwave is the first company in the UK to guarantee the customers are refunded for the cost of a seat at a music, sports or a live entertainment event.

For example, such circumstances include motor breakdown or accident on the way to the venue, injury, illness and a range of other incidents that could prevent a person going to these events.

The service will be managed by Mondial and the cost of the cover will be included in the price of all Seatwave tickets.
