Price comparison site launched by Saga
by Kay Murchie
Saga, which sells products to the over-50s, has launched ConfidentCover.com, a price comparison site for car insurance. ConfidentCover.com is custom-made for drivers over 50 who are interested in getting a better deal on their car insurance.
Around 70% of over 50s have been online to compare car insurance and a spokesperson for Saga highlighted that today’s over-50s are increasingly confident about using the internet.
Research produced by Saga has established that many are not confident that they would get the cover they wanted if they used a generic price comparison site. Consequently, Saga has launched ConfidentCover.com in response to their requirements.
83% of those surveyed by Saga said that they thought the majority of price comparison sites put low premiums above every other aspect and neglected to take into account many vital policy details.
In terms of financing a car, Sainsbury’s Bank has found that of those who plan to buy a car in the next 6 months, nearly one fifth will do so by taking out a loan.
