Samaritans training for Legal & General
by Kay Murchie
Legal & General are to receive training from The Samaritans. The leading insurer commented that people who are claiming on their own policy or on behalf of a relative who has recently passed away, will be going through a very hard time.
Consequently, staff need to be trained in dealing with people in these types of situation while still providing friendly and professional service.
A spokesperson for Legal & General commented that these customers have enough to deal with already and they just want their claim dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Legal & General hope that the training will allow staff to be better equipped to deal with such calls with both compassion and competence.
Legal & General has made a £1,000 donation to the Samaritans to help fund its work.
