Direct Life adds PruProtect to LifeQuote
by David Masters

IFA technology support provider Direct Life and Pension Services (DLPS) has added PruProtect’s life and serious illness cover to its LifeQuote and LifeQuote Plus software.
As such, financial advisers using LifeQuote software will have access to PruProtect’s serious illness and life cover.
PruProtect’s serious illness cover insures against more than 150 illnesses, compared to an industry average of less than 30.
It also allows customers to continue protection following a claim without any additional exclusions, giving ongoing protection for further illness or injury.
Neil McCarthy, sales and managing director at DLPS, said: “The adoption of a broad range of serious illness cover rather than a traditional critical illness approach gives advisers more choice.”
McCarthy added that a new vitality programme will enable customers to reduce premiums by eating healthily and keeping fit.
Iain Clark, PruProtect’s UK sales director, said: “We have long admired the DLPS model and are delighted to be working with their distribution partners.
“This is a significant opportunity for PruProtect to continue its recent expansion into the UK protection market.”
