Currencies Direct provide charity donation when arranging foreign currency

A new initiative called FX4Charity launched on February 13 by Currencies Direct provides a donation to a registered charity of any new customer’s choice when they buy or arrange foreign currency via the company.

Not only does the foreign exchange group make a donation, customers will also save money on their own currency purchase through the company’s market-leading exchange rates.

The minimum donation will be £1 per transaction and will not come from the customer but from Currencies Direct. The firm is expecting to donate £100,000 to charity in the first year.

According to the firm, 10 children can be immunised against polio for just £1 or this small amount can also provide respite care for an elderly or sick person.

FX4Charity is available to both individuals and organisations.

Managing Director, Ignacio Hernandez, said “Whether it is cash for a holiday or business trip, to deal with an overseas supplier, or pay a pension or a foreign mortgage, using FX4Charity makes sense.

“Not only are you saving money by getting one of the most competitive rates of exchange available, you are also raising money for your favourite good causes“.

The donation structure is based on a minimum of £1 per transaction, with individuals earning their charity a further £1 for every £1000 of currency they buy, rounded up or down, in a month.

All the payments to the charities will be paid monthly by the Charities Trust, the organisation appointed by Currencies Direct, to disburse the donations.
