Yorkshire launches fee free mortgages

Yorkshire Bank yesterday launched a fee free mortgage offer for new customers.

For a limited time, new customers signing up for a fixed-rate, offset or current account remortgage deal at the bank will have the £999 remortgage fee waived.

Legal and valuation fees will also be waived for all new customers taking out a fixed or offset remortgage worth over £25,000.

Mortgages available on the fee free offer include the bank’s five-year fixed rate remortgage at 4.79%.

Gary Lumby, head of retail at Yorkshire Bank, said: “The current economic climate means that fewer people are moving home and instead are looking to re-mortgage.

“Our fee free mortgage is designed to help people find the correct mortgage to suit their individual needs without having to pay an arrangement fee.”
