Aviva Investors has been announced as the fourth sponsor of the second National Ethical Investment Week, to be held from 8-14 November.

The seven-day event brings together charities, IFAs, community groups and financial organisations to raise awareness of ethical and green options for investors.

Ethical investors promise to only put money into companies which do not damage the environment or abuse human or animal rights.

Aviva Investors said the event will help to increase awareness of ethical investments.

Peter Michaelis, Aviva Investors spokesperson, said: “As a committed advocate of sustainable and responsible investment, we welcome the opportunity to broaden the debate around green and ethical investing.

“The response to the event last year was extremely encouraging and has helped to push green and ethical products higher up the mainstream agenda - we look forward to building on that this year.”

The other sponsors of NEIW are CCLA, Co-operative Financial Services and Henderson New Star.
