Bradford & Bingley (B&B) has launched a new online Notice Saver account paying interest at a variable rate of 3.3% gross/AER.

New and existing B&B customers can open the account with a minimum balance of just £1.

The account includes an instant access option for savers who need to withdraw their money.

Account holders can choose to have interest paid monthly or annually.

“For anyone looking for a competitive return without tying their money up for the long term, our new Notice Saver account is ideal,” said Reza Attar-Zadeh, B&B’s director of savings and investments.

The Santander-owned bank also launched a two-year fixed-rate ISA paying 3.75% AER on a minimum balance of £1.

Savers cannot withdraw money from the ISA, but can transfer additional savings into the account.

B&B said “savers should act fast” because the accounts are “available for a limited time only”.
