Santander Zero scoops European award
The Santander Zero was recognised as one of Europe’s best credit cards at an awards ceremony in Paris this week.
The Osgards, now in their fourth year, are awarded annually to the top credit card providers in Europe.
Santander’s Zero credit card won first prize in the service category of the awards.
It was one of 64 credit cards to be shortlisted for the five Osgard prizes, out of an initial list of 500 cards.
Santander said winning the award was a “great privilege”.
“I am delighted that Zero has been recognised in this way in such a tough category,” said Emma Roberts, director of Santander Cards.
“We have proved that a simple fee free card really can offer users the high level of service they demand whilst still maintaining the features and quality they expect,” she added.
The Santander Zero credit card has a typical variable APR of 18.9%, with 12 months interest free on balance transfers.
Card holders are not charged for using the card abroad.
