London Stock Exchange revamps website for private investors
by Gill Montia
The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has launched a new website aimed at better addressing the needs of private investors and the retail community generally.
The portal now includes:
New data on International markets and share of trading.
Daily news updates through live newsfeeds from Dow Jones and Digital Look.
A personal finance news page that includes regular updates for private investors.
Enhanced company summaries, including a new company fundamentals page.
A free alert service and weekly newsletter for registered users.
A weekly focus section addressing current topics in the market, and quarterly discussion pieces that look in detail at wider issues.
The changes form part of a series of initiatives that should give private investors better access to financial markets.
In February, the LSE launched the Order Book for Retail Bonds to give greater access to fixed income investment. Then in July, it announced a pricing promotion on real time market data.
