Lloyds Banking Group has today confirmed it will axe more jobs with the closure of a contact centre in Brighton in May 2010. HBoS still had a fair bit of trimming to do as it duplicated loads of functions across its 7 or 8 brands before it was taken over. The Lloyds TSB takeover will just have made that worse.
Then there is the European anti-competitive report to come and the british government trying to press ahead with its ill conceived "narrower" bank plan which is doomed to failure.
