Question alliance and leicester

is this banking going fall? i have shares and i thought this bank was safe investment?

Consider the fact that A&L uses the same business model - raising funds on the inter-bank money-market - as NR and B&B. As the share prices of those 2 banks crashed, it is reasonable to assume that A&L's share price is likely go the same way. I have just sold my A&L shares as I want some return, and not be left with nothing like NR and B&B shareholders. I am also moving most of my money out of my account just in case!

Personally I think AL is being tarred with the same brush, even though its balance books are stronger.

I'm expecting to see the stock fall, but nowhere near as bad as BB.

Just my 2c.
