Not from lenders, but I'm sure there's a Paypal card available. My impression is that unfortunately it appears to be only available in the US, which is a shame for us here in the UK.

There is really a paypal debit card, as they call it and yes, it is only available in the US, I wonder why?

One more thing, anybody here who knows of an ATM card that can be used worldwide, and which can be used to encash e-gold and paypal payments? Also, a card that can give a US bank account no.? I like to have this multi-purpose card for my paypal and egold payments.

I've seen a Paypal credit card advertised, but my understanding so far is that it's only for the US. No idea if you can use it in a ATM as yet, though.

Oh, it is really hard coz I can't activate my Paypal account coz I don't have a US bank account and if the debit card is also US based, then it is not also going to be useful for me Thanks.

The prepay cards are great for debit or credit. There's usually a fee associated with them though. However, it's not that much. Maybe 5% I believe. Those can work wherever as they are mastercard and visas. You can pick them up almost anywhere or you can look for them online. One of them is called the green dot card by mastercard.

I heard on the news in Canada that there is going to be an investigation into the services charges on ATM machines! They are going to get nailed. They are probably making a fortune on them!

Back to Paypal, there are numerous websites still offering prepaid debit cards that can be used to verify Paypal accounts, but everyday more and more of those businesses are shutting down.

EPAY :: Start your business with A Good Solution! is one of those discontinuing the service.

I just heard that a friend of mine in Vancouver BC just got robbed via a bank machine! Someone placed a scanner where you punch in your numbers and then they manufacture the cards...and add the pin access...and they are in! Numerous people got robbed who used this bank machine!

I just wonder what this means about security. That’s what I always say...the hackers do their research and technology can be easily compromised!

What I would do would be to get a debit card based on your checking account, then link the PayPal account to the checking account. Make regular withdrawals and you will be able to use the money that way.

I wonder if this company I have heard of - Activecore Technologies (ATVE) is going to sell their product to online customers. They are a company out of Las Vegas..and know about coin. There is nothing that I know of right now that satisfies the industry like they are proposing to do with their acquired epocket technology. This is exactly what the Internet needs.

It is my understanding that Paypal has a credit card, but I don't know if there is a debit card. I know that the paypal credit card has a really high intrest rate, so it wouldn't be a good idea to get one if you are making large charges.

Well, I know for a fact that epocket is going to be another competitor..it’s electronic coin based processing. It will be competing with VISA and Mastercard.

Yes, I am sure that E-pocket will end up being a competitor with visa and mastercard. I think that it would be interesting to watch how all of this turns out, since all the new ways of money transfer are being developed, the future will be interesting.
