Default Banking and Finance jobs to be cut as the UK's continues to contract

Today it has been revealed that the UK's economy has contracted by 0.8% between April and June. There we all are thinking that we are gradually coming out of the recession and this is brought to our attention. Just to let you know how much the economy has contracted, even the economists only predicted a fall of 0.3%.

So now that we know this - does it mean that there will be even more banking and finance jobs cut? That sector has taken a battering this year - seriously when is it going to end!!?? Can you imagine when the recession is over! - They will need to replace all positions where people were made redundant - and who is their right mind will ever want to work in a bank after everything that they have gone through! I think it's safe to say that the banks are in serious trouble!!

Hi, except what do we do without the banks? Despite everything that's happened I just think we'll have more of the same in the long run, and I think that all the wise people now, including people who are sitting either out of work or with reduced hours, will be tooling up accordingly because my gut feeling is that once the economy turns, and once things start to happen again, the banking sector will take off like a rocket - let's face it, it's a necessary evil, we can never do without a finance system. But some of the roles will change and some of the demands made on employees might be quite different.
