Default Best mutual funds?

I'd like to find out more about mutual funds. How do I find out which are the best, have the best track record, or which focus on specific industry sectors? Oh and hi.

There are many publications that will give you info on mutual funds. MorningStar or anywhere on the internet. I believe the best way to pick out a good fund is to buy funds with succesful managers who have showed good returns in the past. Also, just look at the Funds' success over a number of different time periods: 1 year, 3 year, 5 year, 10 year, etc....Those 2 criteria are usually good baromoters. But remember, nothing is certain and there is always some risk.

One-hit wonder?

Either way, it's always fun to explore the basics for the sake for general reference, too.

Most of them are pretty equal over the long term. However, I would lean towards Fidelity and Vanguard because they have no sales load and low expense ratios.
