Default Big tech company market values

Just thought this might be interesting - a list of major technology companies and their market values:

$225.14 billion - Microsoft
$121.80 billion - IBM
$118.51 billion - Google
$90.17 billion - HP
$73.08 billion - Oracle
$57.47 billion - Dell
$50.05 billion - Apple
$43.38 billion - Yahoo!
$15.22 billion - Sun

It's almost incomprehendable when you look at those figures, but then again they do dormant the market and it is a mega market represented in virtually every business and every home

Merrill Lynch this week advised Microsoft to buy Yahoo!:

I like Yahoo! and think that would be a brilliant way to set up a bulwark against Google, especially with all of Yahoo!'s more advanced internet technology, such as in the search vector.

The problem is merging the companies into a single identity. Even Yahoo! was painfully slow in bringing Alta Vista and All The Web under the Yahoo! banner, even after purchase. Yahoo! could be just too big to swallow successfully.

That's right! Each of these big companies have worked to have their names big and famous in the cyberspace and it wouldn't be easy just to submit like that...
