Me and my wife recently bought our first home after a few years of renting since the market was getting better for first time buyers. Now its worrying to see that although prices are getting better, the banks and mortgage companies are becoming skittish. It seems like everything is in favour of the property developers. Don't they realise that unless they get people on the bottom rung there will be a shortage of buyers in the future who can afford more expensive properties. Thankfully we found an independent financial adivisor who explained our options and the best deals. The government did pledge to invest something like £3 billion in housing for the future, but can they really prevent a complete crash in the market?
