As somebody who does not own any property (I am currently renting) I guess I am in the section of society most likely to benefit from a crash. This often seems like the only way in which a lot of people will be able to get on 'the ladder'.

I am also a renter and I agree with this - the way prices were rising before it seemed impossible that I would ever get on the ladder. Property prices are still ridiculous when you look at the rises they have experienced in a few short years. However, even if there is a bit of a crash I am sure they will recover to the same levels and higher, it just takes a bit of time.
