I haven't got a pension. my bank has been advising me to get a private one but i thought there was no point in getting one.

how much is the state pension?

You should never rely on the government to take care off anything. You should accumulate assets and plan for your retirement as soon as possible so when you get there you can enjoy it.

I think your mindset to rely on state pension is a terrible fiancial mistake on your part and one that you will definately regret when it is too late.

People should work for 20 hours in my place to get pension.
Is that same for Britons ?

perhaps you should buy realestate and use the money from that instead of pension.
