You could always try the Nationwide for a loan:
Nationwide Personal Loans: Loan Calculator Quote Online

Rate is 7.7% at present, which I think is the lowest on the market, though you do need to sign up for a Nationwide flexaccount (current account) first.

If you do get a loan, be careful about PPI, you might need to end up putting in PPI Claims to get your money back. This happens to many people.

If you have a good credit history you've probably got a chance. If however you have an impaired credit history, you're income is a bit on the low side for a loan of that amount.

Hi Doyle 369,

Your 1st stop should be your bank. If they can not help you then hopefully they will tell you why they cant lend you the money (lack of income, Historic missed payments etc) If you make an internet application and you are contacted by a company you have not approached directly, Tell them to call you back later and conduct a quick internet search to see what other peoples experiences have been! If they are a genuine company then they will understand and any potential loan they could offer you is unlikely to change on a hourly basis.
