Default Cashier Withdrawl

Hello,

I'm in a little bit of a situation here as I have recent lost my wallet with my drivers license, money and all my debit cards.

I am a student going back to college and looking for a flat tomorrow but the only problem is, I need to be able to withdraw at least £1000.

I bank with RBS and I was wondering what I need to do to be able to do this. I am limited to just my British and French passport. I don't have any letters from RBS... simply because I never got them before. All I had was a letter head with my card inside and a few days later, the pin code for my card.

I know my account details since I log in online with shows me everything.

So.... can anybody share their experiences or point me in the right direction. Obviously I can't get my card because I am staying with a friend and well, I don't have anything address to me at their house.

I have heard about asking the bank to keep the card at the branch for collection by myself. Is this true?!

Did you get this sorted out? I presume with a passport and a bank statement you should have been able to get this sorted out?

When you go to an RBS branch they will ask you a series of security questions to prove your identity. Not having your card shouldn't matter too much.

I'm confused as to how this came about. You need an address to have a bank account. Did you register the with your address in France? Or with your friend's address where you are staying? If its at your friends address, why didn't they send a letter there when you set up the account?
