It is very unlikely that the MPC will cut rates, there is no reason for that. It would have a negative economic impact given the current market conditions.

The risk of inflation to move even higher is far too great.

Rates need to be on hold, Australia raised rates in order to combat inflation and inflationary expectations. Good job!

Indeed - I wouldn't have thought the BoE will seriously look
at any interest rate changes until nearer Easter, once they've got a full report on the Christmas shopping data - consumer spending, retail growth, etc.
