Tubes in london are also rediculous i was spending over £150 a month just going in out out once a day....crazy

The problem in Britain is that both driving and public transport are so expensive. Petrol is going up globally but the amount of tax we pay on it is rediculous (and still increasing regularly). I live 70 miles from London and it costs around £80 for a train to London - and I usually have to sit on the floor.

Insurance is high because its a leg requirement and petrol is going up as well as road tax for bigger engine cars.
and also location doesnt help due to crimerates and otehr stats.

Even though this post is a bit old now, It is definitely worse now. Wonder what the petrol prices were when this post was started. It's a bit mad now, don't see it getting cheaper

Yes driving in Britain is expensive, as is public transport. The UK infrastructure borders precariously on that of an undeveloped country in many ways.

Yeah it is! Although I got a nice reduction in my insurance this year with Budget insurance. Happy with that. I noticed some peoples insurance had gone up this year, I just hope mine goes down next year.
