Equity release loans, or "reverse mortgages"?

I have just turned 60 and just lost my job. I was considering taking out a small "reverse mortgage" ( say 15,000 ). I own my house outright. I only want this money for ,say, 12 - 24 months. After that period of time, will I be allowed to pay all this money back and then still own 100% of my property?
