PLEASE HELP


I bought a car when I was married but the finance would only go through in my then husbands name, we are no longer together but I have always paid and continue to pay the finance, the log book is in my name, can my Ex husband take possession of the car once it is paid for?

If the car was bought in your name, you are responsible for the payments, and the car belongs to you.

If the car was bought in your husband's name, he is responsible for the payments, and the car belongs to him.

So far as I understand it!

If the log book is in your name the car is yours as far as I know

If the purchase order made by your name, then you are the owner of that car, no one can take it until you allow him/her.
