Red face Finance Agreements

Could anyone please help?????

I have signed a finance agreement today for a new van for work countersigned and checked by the owner of the garage. On returning home the finance company called to say they had made a mistake with the paperwork I had signed and have me to sign another form as the first form signed stated I had to pay £160.03 per mnth for 48 mnths, on them noticing their mistake (for not charging me any VAT) they have realised this should have said £192.00 per mnth over 48 mnths. Help where do I stand?

Do I have to sign a new agreement or is it their problem!!! (I hope)

Someone help me please!!!!

Default Re: Finance Agreements

Well, you signed a contract and agreement with the company - and they signed it with you. So it's agreed and signed for.

So it may be the case you can simply stand by the agreement, even though they made a mistake - and they pay for making their own mistake.

However, there maybe something in the small print that says that can get arsey if they want to be.

So keeping the existing agreement may be more hassle than it's worth.

Probably best to ask at the Citizen's Advice Bureau for a proper second opinion on this.
