Default Finding out about cheap companies

I'm wondering if anyone knows of an easy way to find out companies that currently have a low stock value.

I'm mainly interested in science, technology and entertainment/film companies.

Obviously my interest is to look through and research these companies and see if I can pick any that may grow rapidly, unless my approach is wrong? I'm a bit of a newbie investor.

Wow, just found Google's Stock Screener.

It lets me type in a price, market cap… anything I want, and then pick from different sectors and returns company symbols as results. Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Google.

Three words, research research research! The more you do the more likely you are to be successful. Yahoo Finance and Google's stock offering are two good resources to use. Many blog too to gage opionions in contrast with your own. Good luck
