Hello everyone!!
If I take additional safety precautions like fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, sprinklers etc. will it reduce my premium amount in case of Home Insurance?
Needs suggestions!!
Thanks in advance.
Certainly it can - check the terms and conditions of different policies when shopping around - sometimes the initial premium will be reduced if accredited safety features are put in place.
My experience is that it's a very good idea. Those changes not only make you safer in your home, they tend to pay for themselves more than twice over in insurance savings.
Also be sure that dangers such as trampolines are covered, if you have one. Better to pay a little more now than a huge amount if someone gets injured.
