Default Homebase Finance.

I am having problems with Homebase finance over a credit agreement. Which was misrepresented & sold under deception, when I purchased a Kitchen.

The first time Homebase called me, they were aggressive, rude & threatening, apart from their tone they were stating that if I don't pay the full amount I will be reported to the credit reference agencies. As soon as I received this a call from them I had settled the principal amount. I than a wrote a letter setting out my position, this had not been replied. I had also spoken to them in order to come to a compromise & close the matter & this was not acceptable to them.

I had been receiving telephone calls from them mostly at around 18.30 or at weekends. I have made a note of the calls & there timings. To date I have received 39 calls.

As my letters have been ignored, no compromise was achieved. I told them to take me to the Courts so that I have my say. They however prefer to call me which I construed to be an harassment.

Any advise or sugguestion by the forum user. This is first posting & since it X mas please be kind to me.

Default Re: Homebase Finance.

I had a similar problem after a motoring claim.

I kept getting threatening letters from insurance companies and solicitors.

I spoke to my own solicitor and he said to keep all the letters and at some point we could take them to court, if i had the energy.

I didn't persue this route, but i sent photocopies of all the letters back to the solicitors and insurance companies including a covering note from my solicitor saying to back off, and havn't heard from them since.

What im saying is i suggest you speak to a solicitor as they can advise the best route.
