Default How to invest - use IFA?

Hello everyone,

I'm in need of some advice. I recently inherited £50K. This is the first time I've had a sum of money of this sort so I'm not sure what to do with it. Going to an IFA seems an option to help me to decide how to deal with it. However I'm unsure of how to go about finding a suitable IFA, or whether IFAs are only useful for people with larger sums of money to invest.

So some advice on whether an IFa would be a suitable option for me, and on how to find a suitable IFa would be very useful to me.

Speak to a few IFA's - remember, you don't need to take on board any advice offered, and there's nothing wrong with placing it in a savings account or with National Savings and Investment until you've had a good think and decided what you actually want to do with it.
