Institution most likely to give a loan?

I require a loan for about £9000 and have a good credit rating (according to Equifax) and earn about £20,000 with outgoings of about £500 a month. In spite of this I have been turned down for a loan by my bank.

Can anyone suggest any institutions who are more likely to give loans out, even those with higher APR's?
