There are a lot of adults that could learn from this website as well. I have always thought that investing should be something taught in school. So many young people head out on their own and think nothing about retirement until they are halfway there. If it's taught in school at least they will know.

I love this site. It dumbed it down so that even I could understand it. This is right on time because I am just forming a plan to teach my kids financial responsibility instead of spending as soon as you receive (living paycheck to paycheck, as we adults call it).

My son spends every dime on trading cards. I think a motivational website for kids to get into investing might be idea. Something that would help them to actually want to stop spending it left and right.

Once they are motivated then they could learn a thing or two at the thinkquest website. I wish I had someone show me all that when I was a kid.

Investing on trading cards is not that bad if they learn that there is a market for these items and preserving in optimal conditions rare valued cards can be translated into money over time.

However, the sooner we educate our kids on the benefits of saving, the faster they will understand credit management when college time knock their door.

I think that's a great idea. It's important to get kids fired up about saving and not just spending. It's a good idea to give them bonds for their birthdays, too, instead of money they can just blow through.
