I read this article with interest and I appreciate that the wife was duped at the time and wouldn't have entered into the remortgage to bail out her husbands debts etc if she had known about the affair but if she can't afford the mortgage repayments how does this help her it would appear that she is still going to lose the family home so other than the story indicates that she should be able to keep half of the proceeds of the sale of the property? Does this mean that First Plus will have to chase the husband for the remainder of the debt?
