Default Making up the years for my pension

Has anyone had any experience of being asked if they would like to make up some extra years on their pension? I got a letter in the post asking me this and at first dismissed it, however now I am wondering if it might be a good idea. Any thoughts, suggestions?

The amount you can invest into a pension in any financial year is strictly controlled, so if you were to invest anything into a pension, you would only be able to do so up to your personal annual allowance. A company asking you to do this is simply soliciting fees for themselves - better you make decisions yourself and choose the most appropriate areas to invest your pension in, rather than through a sales company with their own interest.
