In a consolidated statement of shareholders investment what do common stock shares and stock par value refer to. Equally if a company is repurchasing stock is it a good indicator of confidence within the company.

What is share capital , share premium and what is a share based payment charge.

Amortization ?

Net interest Expense ?

Share based compensation expense ?

Stock options and awards ?

Is the Net profit found on the bottom line of the income statement.

Do you work out shareholders equity by subtracting Total assets by total liability.

Is a net profit margin , net profit dividied by total revenue.

Ib recievevable turn over where on the income sheet would you find net credit sales or could it have another name.

Common stock shares refer to shares in issue by the company. Par value is the value of each share as set out in their prospectus.

No, it doesn't have to be.

Amortization ?

Relates to the gradual decrease of liabilities in predfined payments over a certain period of time.

Net interest Expense ? Share based compensation expense ? Stock options and awards ?

Self explanatory. Interest expenses, expenses related to share based compensation, expenses related to stock options and awards. More info about those expenses will be found in the company's report as well.

Is the Net profit found on the bottom line of the income statement?

It is found where it says Net Profit.

Do you work out shareholders equity by subtracting Total assets by total liability?

No, the other way around. You subtract total liabilities by total assets.

Is a net profit margin , net profit dividied by total revenue?

Yes.

Ib recievevable turn over where on the income sheet would you find net credit sales or could it have another name?

Don't exactly know what you mean.

Depends on your investment strategy and personal preference.

Of course you do but you asked for 'good ratios' and they all depend on what your investment strategy is.
