Buyiing a book is by itself an investment so I'm always a little bit concerned because some are waste of both money and time.

I think it's worth looking at sources and trust - I'm never going to buy a guide that promises to make me rich - just a general tour of the basics should be enough.
It's also worth pointing out that if you plan to invest on the potentially volatile stock markets, then wasting money on a book should be the least concern!

oh, books with titles promising the reader that she'll be reach or would have to spend nothing to become wealthy always turn me off. i do always turn to those which give me the basics.
