If you're talking Wick and similar areas, I don't think prices have reached comparable levels across the rest of the UK for obvious reasons (chiefly remoteness), so any corresponding fall I would think would reflect that as well.
It's worth pointing out that Scottish property in general is not getting hit with price falls - not yet. I'm in the Highlands, and I'm seeing a big slowdown which will likely force prices down.
In terms of investing, though - heh, we just had ourselves a minor stock market crash.
