Default pension query

Hi, I have been with my present employer for several years, they operate a local government scheme, but i havent joined due to the payments, this december my salary should rise to around £28500 gross. I am a little worried that if i start paying in now i will only get 19 years service in until i retire. I have a flexipension with what used to be scottish amicable, at the last statement it had accrued approxamatley £9000 in bonuses, but i havent paid in to it since the mid eighties. I have another pension with prudential i have paid £54 a month in to this since 1994, i have a property worth £200,000 with £54,000 left out standing> What advice would you give me in order to retire with a comfortable pension.

Regards

Centra

You really need advice from an IFA here - it may make sense when crunching figures to transfer some of your funds into one or the other scheme.
