Default Pre-Settlement Loans

I have being some research into this and note that in America (obviously) it is common practice, but I can't see anything here?

I have a large PI case hoping to conclude next summer, (9.5 years laready), and I am interested to see if I can get some help in the mean time for medical expenses and general expenses.

Would appreciate anyones advice input here.

Notes:
financial situation has not been good last 2-3 years, and has progressively gone down hill.
Interims not an option due to MIB case

many thanks
