Default Questions in corporation research

Hi new to this forum, and investing in general, but here goes..from the reading I have done there some questions which have come up which I cannot find an answer to anywhere on the web, it might be a very simple answer but i am lost, how do i find out a corporations total assets, debt, and net worth? is there a possible way to get detailed inventory and other pertinent information? please help..thanks in advance

Hi

If the company is listed then go to the market where the company is quoted, there will be annual repoorts and accounts there which will give you all the information. Bear in mind, however, these are backward looking and generally a year out of date.

If it is a private company (in the UK) then you can go to companieshouse.co.uk and use thier web check service (on the site) if you put the company's name in webcheck it will give you basic details. For £1 you can download the company reports and accounts, annual filings etc.

Thank you for your information it has pointed me in the right direction, but as i look at the company's financials it lacks the information i was looking for, specifically the company's total assests and liabilities..i would also like to mention that i will be trading in the states if this has any beaing on the question
