Hi everyone,

I am totally new here and am interest in invest in stock market. But I am a newbie in this. I am trying to look up some shares at the monment.

But when I look at the stock market there are thousands of shares and I don't know which one I should choose (I may be interest in oil & gas industry)? What suggestion you think I have to go learn it for selecting shares?

Anohter question is I just only have nearly 1000 pounds for investment. Is it enough? I am actually looking for long term investment.

You really need to look to research - and additionally look to spread the risk.

Investing in a single sector invites higher risk without necessarily higher returns.
