Default Starting new fund- any tips?

Hi,

I and some friends of mine are in the process of strating a new fund (two possibilities- a private fund or a full-on managed fund)
Are there any online sites and books that will guide us the formation and management of the fund?

Thanks
Mani
PS: We are from New Zealand and thinking of investing in varied asset classes- shares to residential properties

Afraid I don't have any information at hand, but I would certainly watch out for financial regulations if you're planning to take on third parties - in the UK you'd probably want/need to be FSA registered, and I know a freidn who employs a staff member whose sole task is to ensure FSA compliance!
