Default Stock tips

I'm going to offer a couple of stock tips:

1. Yahoo! - YHOO

Recent performance has been poor and they're over-extended. Markets don't like them.

But Yahoo! has a lot of great assets and technology. Once they get back on their feet, expect them to turn things around.

Current stock price: 24.84 -0.04 (-0.16%) 3 Oct at 4:00PM ET

Investment term: Mid term

2. McAfee (MFE)

Business security is becoming a huge market, especially with data storage and protection.

McAfee is trying to raise themselves into the big league buying out smaller companies, but a buyout of McAfee itself could be on the horizon, with the business assets retained and the domestic market arm sold off as a separate entity.

One to watch.

Current stock price: 24.83 +0.37 (1.51%) 3 Oct at 4:00PM ET

Investment term - mid term

3. Trendmicro (TMIC)

There's been rumours for a long while that Cisco may look to buy out Trendmicro, and they've been snuggling closer this year.

Current price: 28.85 +0.32 (1.12%) 3 Oct at 2:56PM ET

Let's see how these run over the next 2 years at least.

Thanks for the tips, Bryan. It is very important to know the trend and the latest news of these stocks. I would have liked to buy some shares of these companies but since I haven't gotten much idea about its progress, I just don't like to try any risk taking venture.

If you bought YHOO you'd be down a little already - but I'm pretty confident that YHOO stock is a good mid-term prospect.

And now you'd be up:

YHOO - 26.74 + $1.90 = +7%
MFE - 28.69 + $3.86 = +13%
TMIC - 28.97 + $0.12 = +0.5%

If you'd have followed my stock tips, then after 6 weeks your money would have already grown by nearly 7%.

Never it's too late to start up, specially during this season of the year when we have a little extra cash to invest.

Thanks for the heads up.

Let's see how these run over the next 2 years at least.
YHOO - orig: 24.84 current: 30.86 Gain: 24.23%
MFE - orig: 24.83 current: 30.30 Gain: 22.1%
TMIC - orig: 28.85 current: 28.27 Gain: -1.02%

If you'd invested £1000 in each of these companies 6 months ago, that £3000 sum would now be worth £3453.10 - that's 15.1% growth over 6 months. A bit more than in a regular savings account. And that's even with a third of the stock picks going down.

16 months later:

YHOO: 30:46 Gain: 24%
MFE: 33:65 Gain: 36%
TNIC.PK: 35.99 Gain: 25%

Better than my bank account...

Also, expect YHOO to rocket now Microsoft has bid for the company. It was always too cheap stock in the first place, especially once it fell to $19/share.
