Default stockbroker

Hi,

I am extremely intrested in becoming a stockbroker but i need help. I dont have a strong education background as i am a school leaver and have been working all that time. I am in the sales industry at the moment but what i am aiming for is becoming a stockbroker.

I read everywhere that a degree is recommended, if so in what category?.

What is the other way around it without a strong education background?, if it means to work solid hours, put my whole back into it then i will.

What would be my first steps in progressing towards this profession?

I have searched around the internet but i cannot find an answer on what my first step is to take without a strong education to progress into this profession. I probably am looking at it from the wrong angle and may sound as if im jumping blind folded into a battlefield but i do not know where to start.

If anyone can give me some light on this topic, it will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
