I was reading an inflight magazine on British Airways last week, that basically suggested that borrowing from Japan at 0% was fueling a big part of investment - but that Japan is expected to raise rates soon, which could have a significant dampening effect on investment worldwide - no free lunch.
I wish the Federal Reserve would stop raising interest rates for a while. It might do the markets some good. Technology is so good today, I really don't think we face the same inflation pressures that we did 30 years ago. The second a new good or service comes out, there are about 100 competitors who do it faster, better and cheaper.
