Most banks here allow people to do banking over the phone and over the Internet. This makes it simple and easy to bank. However, there is also room for more problems such as error or fraud and security problems.

Yes it does make things easier. But people do worry how safe their funds and accounts really are with online banking. I think it is perfectly acceptable that some people do not wish to bank online.

I think that online banking is great, it is very useful and you can keep track of how much money you have. It does have some room for errors, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

I think banking online one of the best things that technology has done. Its so easy to keep track of finances, check your statement online as needed. I check it on a daily basis just to make sure everything is on track.

I would never do online banking. It’s bad enough there is fraud on ATM machines! I also heard that people were getting their investment accounts hacked into!

Online Banking is great, I have never heard anything bad about it. I use it and so does my brother. Really great way to keep track of your finances, and balanace the checkbook.

I rather go the the atm then over the phone, i wouldn't want any mistakes.

In the past 10 days I have had 23 spam emails asking for banking details.

Does anyone know a central banking email address I can forward them so that someone can try to do something about tracing and prosecuting these fraudsters.

Am afraid not - many are spoofing (faking) their email address, others are sent from hacked machines. Bottom line is, this is an organised criminal activity, and usually they cover their tracks well.

Over the last 10 years, technology has progressed so far and it is fantastic!

It doesn't matter what technology and what the era, fraud WILL happen.

The banks are keeping on top of it as best they can.

As for spoof *phishing* emails, just remember your bank WILL NEVER email you asking you for your bank details.

Any email that asks you for sensitive information, however believable it may seem, is without a doubt SPAM.
