what are your opinions on the Euro currency and people ending up in financial trouble as in so many different countries everything has gotten so much more expensive?

The euro seems to be doing better than a lot of the doomsayers suggested right at the launch - I think for the most part the euro is proving itself as a currency, but the trouble for it is possibly more to do with the main countries behind it suffering slow economic growth.

2c.

Oh, and an interesting site for info on the euro:

Thanks, that site explained at lot to me, I'm hearing so many people complain in the Euro countries and all that is noticeable to the consumers, people like you and me. apparently many shop prices when up from their previous currency the Guilder, to the EUro, and things cost over double the amount now.

I hear lots of traders took advantage of the price confusion when switching from local currency to the euro. So it wasn't the currency itself raising prices just retailers.
