It can be very risky as well. You need to have the proper background and experience before undertaking such a project. It's not as if anyone can jump in and have instant success.

The way the market is right now, there are to many people selling and not enough people buying. I wouldn't recommend doing this right now, one of my freinds do it, but he is very experienced, which is why he is successful.

Flipping houses is actually a great thing to do, even though the market is unstable, people can still do it successfully. It can also be a lot of fun, it takes a lot of work, but it can be rewarding.

You have to have the money upfront for the upgrades/repairs and for the time it may take to sell the house.

It's kind of an interesting and nomadic concept as risky as it may be. I know there are a lot of people who live in the house they are fixing up before they resell, think of all the moving!

I would rather be shot than live in a house I'm renovating. It's a great concept and if you live in the right place and have enough money to place on hold until you get a sale then it would have great possibilities.
