Exclamation The investment club network?

Hello everyone I'm new here, hopefully gonna stay around for a while.

I have a huge problem though, I have been drawn to the investment club TICN. They have their own website on www,TICN,com

Now my problem is basically this, I don't know whether I can trust them. I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this website? Basically they have a number of different investment groups online. I have joined one of them and am just about to start paying. But the owner of that club requires me to learn how to invest the TICN way. All together there is 16 hours of class time in different areas of the UK. This will cost me £400, originally £800 but because I'm a student its half price. And the investment club is £50 a month which is acceptable.

They claim they can teach people to make a steady 5%-10%. And they say because of this the cost of the course will increase in the near future.

I didnt believe it to start with until I started to look into it more. They have been on TV in ireland (where they are based) for an interview. Plus their youngest member who started with the company at age 15 has been in the gardian, and a number of news papers including a BBC1 radio interview.

All I want to know is has anyone else had any experience with TICN?

Are they trustworthy?

I am very eager to start learning and investing with a club, so help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for taking your time and effort to reply.

I mean no disrespect to TICN, as I do not know too much about them, however, it seems rather an expensive way to 'start' trading. £400 would buy you a lot of books on the subject, as would the £600 per year it would cost to stay a member of their network (unless this is what you are investing, of course).

To be honest, it is swigs and roundabouts with this kind of thing, in my opinion. If you have money to invest, say over £10,000, then there are plenty of brokers who will invets the time to show you how to invest correctly and provide you with research from some very good guys.

If you have less than this amount and want to be part of an investment club, I would do a little research locally to see if there are any investment clubs you can join. I just think, in this day and age, that paying £400 - £800 pounds for someone to tell you how to invest your money is just a little strong. There are multiple books and online resources that would cost way less than this....

Why on earth would you pay to invest?

I subscribe to a number of investing newsletters, most of which are run by people who manage their own company funds - and I'll underline this for you - no one has any secret answers or formulas to investing.

Instead you should look to read about investing yourself, learn as much as you can, practice a little with pretend money or even better, a little of your own - learn to develop a strategy that works to clear aims, and have a clear exit strategy.

No one can tell you how to do this - you just work it out for yourself.

There's absolutely no reason to subscribe to a paid for investment club - and the pointers you raise say absolutely nothing about their abilities.

Move along and develop your own strategy, and avoid anyone trying to leech on naivety.

I feel the best way option is a club which uses an experienced trader making returns of 5% per month. Income can be withdrawn monthly. Global Investment Club . com

Oh, hang on, this is spam posting then - and a ponzi scheme to boot.

"experienced trader making returns of 5% per month"

Yep, sounds like a relative of Bernard Madoff.
